Erie, PA New Boiler Plant:

The project included general construction, mechanical and electrical work, utility systems and removal of existing boilers.  The new plant houses new fire-tube boilers, a deaerator system and other central plant equipment.  The new boiler plant project was part of an overall $25 million construction and renovation plan for the facility.  Read more…

Wilkes-Barre, PA Boiler Plant Project:

Greenland was selected as the Prime Contractor responsible for constructing a new boiler plant at the Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre, PA. The scope included replacing three 520 HP water tube boilers, condensate storage tank, DA Tank, water softener, water treatment, and boiler controls with SCADA. Read more…

Columbia, SC New Boiler Plant:

Greenland Enterprises is currently the prime contractor responsible for constructing a new $16M boiler house for the William Jennings Bryan Dorn VAMC in Columbia, South Carolina. The boiler house will include three new 600HP water tube boilers and a relocated 400HP fire tube summer boiler. The boiler house will include space for parts, maintenance, tools, training room, locker rooms, restrooms and a break room for the boiler plant staff. El Paso, TX Central Chilled-Water Plant:

Greenland completed a project for the El Paso VA Medical Center to upgrade the hospital’s central chilled-water plant. The primary driver for the project’s scope of work was the degraded condition of the existing three (3) cooling tower cells, which posed significant risk to facility operations as most of the cooling for the hospital relied on the operability and reliability of this failing equipment. Martinsburg, WV Boiler Plant Upgrade:

Greenland was selected as the Prime Contractor to complete the VAMC Martinsburg, West Virginia Boiler Plant Upgrade Phase V project. This $7M+ project consists of complete demolition of all components inside the existing Boiler plant, which was built in the 1940’s.  This included asbestos abatement for all piping insulation, remove/replace concrete floor and also replace the roof. Read more…

Williamsburg, VA Special Collections Library HVAC Upgrade:

Greenland was selected on this negotiated HVAC upgrade for the SWEM Library Special Collections Area at The College of William & Mary. The 12,000 square foot area houses important historical documents as well as documents pertaining to the College itself.  These important documents are irreplaceable. Read more…

Waco, TX Central Energy Center:

Greenland-imag1The Central Texas Veterans Health Care System (CTVHCS) at the Waco, Texas Veterans Administration Medical Center (VAMC) engaged Greenland Enterprises for a $20M+ project to replace an existing boiler plant, chiller plant and related infrastructure with a new consolidated energy center. Martinsburg, WV Chiller Replacement

chiller replacement construction companyGreenland was selected as the prime contractor to demolish and reconstruct the Chilled Water Plant at the Martinsburg, WV VA Medical Center under a $5.4M DB Best Source Selection contract. The project included replacing pipes, pumps, three centrifugal chillers, cooling towers, and all associated controls systems. The entire electrical system was demolished and replaced with new wiring, switch gear, and motor control centers. The actual construction began in November 2010 and was substantially complete in May 2011. Read more…

Boston, MA Packaged Chiller Plant

The second-to-last module is placed late Sunday morning.

In July 2015, Greenland orchestrated the field assembly of a 5,000 sq. ft., 1,250-ton packaged chiller plant at the VA Medical Center in Jamaica Plain, MA. This required the sequential placement of 14 modules, each approximately 25 ft. long by 14 ft. wide, and each weighing upwards of 53,000 pounds. Each module was packed and shipped from the factory in Ohio to a storage yard outside Boston – before being threaded through the streets of Boston in a carefully orchestrated operation on their way to the VA Medical Center in Jamaica Plain. Waco, TX Combined Heat & Power Plant
