Greenland Enterprises Named Prime Contractor for Wright-Patterson AFB Project

Greenland Enterprises has been awarded a $19.6MM contract with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Louisville District for the replacement of the existing Area A Line C High-Temperature Hot Water (HTHW)/Steam heating system with gas-fired heating systems. The systems serve the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC), Headquarters Air Force Materiel Command (HQ AFMC), Tenant, Visiting Officer Quarters (VOQ), and the 88th Air Base Wing (88 ABW) F/10840 facilities at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH.

The project involves major additions and renovations to the existing buildings, hazardous material abatement, significant utility work, and a new facility fuel distribution yard. Greenland was selected by the Government due to the company’s extensive experience with new construction and renovation in areas utilizing gas-fired boilers.

“We have a unique and specialized expertise in the construction industry,” explains Greenland President Steve Seckler. “Our experience with boilers, ancillary equipment, and steam distribution made us a natural fit for the Wright-Patterson project.”

Based in Hampton, VA, Greenland Enterprises is a national construction management firm specializing in the design, construction, and extensive coordination efforts necessary for new and retrofit district energy applications. The company has active projects across the United States, primarily serving the complex needs of government, medical, and university facilities.
