Greenland to Replace Air Handling Units at West Haven, CT VA Medical Center

Greenland Enterprises has been awarded a $2.2 million design-build contract to replace two air handling units at the VA Medical Center in West Haven, CT. The firm was selected in large part due to its unique HVAC expertise in healthcare environments.

The project includes removing the existing, inoperable units from the roof of the building, preparing the necessary infrastructure, and assembling two new modular outdoor air handlers. All associated steam and condensate piping, duct work, and supply lines will be insulated and water-proofed.

This is one of several similar projects awarded to Greenland Enterprises in the past several months, due to the company’s successful experience with complex mechanical systems in healthcare environments.
